Acting as one of the first companies within the ski and outdoor industry, Hestra has introduced the environmental management system ISO 14001. While many companies promote their various eco-products, Hestra is working to improve its overall impact on the environment. The international ISO 14001-system places environmental requirements on everything from transportation and waste, to energy use and products. An external party certified Hestra’s system in May of 2009. – We have worked with quality issues in the same way since the 1990s and are very experienced with it. The basic idea is to review the entire business, not just our products and to systematically improve each various component, says Claes Magnusson, who runs Hestra with brother Svante Magnusson.
